Our Lagos-to-London reading pair picked this up expecting an old apologetics text and found something warmer: a patient, plainspoken case for faith that reads like a conversation with a wise uncle. Great for newer believers or skeptical friends.
A missionary's account of the persecuted church, told with unflinching honesty about doubt and grief. Our prayer group used it as a springboard for a six-week series on suffering and hope — bring tissues to group night.
A member-written devotional split across five language groups, translated line by line by volunteers. It's rougher around the edges than a published title, but nothing has sparked more group discussion this year.
